Session 4 – Production & Post Production I (Video Editing P1 / Shoot roughs / Write scripts)

This session will involve different academic video production scenarios, however the main focus will target learning the basics of using a nonlinear video editing system. Different editing solutions will be showcased (iMovie, Camtasia and Adobe Premiere Pro). The entire Adobe Creative Suite is now available to all faculty and staff at OU. To download the Adobe Creative Suite, please visit the OU ITstore.

Video footage will be provided and each participant will use a MAC laptop and Premiere Pro to learn the basics of video production. The workflow will cross platforms and familiarity with the MAC platform is not needed. If you’ve never used a MAC, don’t worry it will be painless.

All OU faculty and staff also have access to Lynda.com. This resource delivers award winning video tutorials for many different learning paradigms. Lynda.com does specialize in software tutorials.
